I LOVE back to school time! I LOVE new crayons, pencils, and glue. I LOVE school shopping and that special "first day of school" outfit. I LOVE making it a special and exciting HOLIDAY. I LOVE the structure that comes with the new school year. What I LOVE the most is the EXCITEMENT in my cute kids face. Makenna is GIDDY about starting school! She even drew a picture of her new teacher on the "chalkboard" table and told us what she drew and wished last year.
To make it a special HOLIDAY we do a couple of special things...simple, but special... the table magically turns into a chalkboard and the kids get to write on it with chalk...complete with name tags and apples. This year...I was super excited when I found this cute FREE download and made a fun banner! And then we do a little school family time. Super fun! I can't wait to hear the stories of second grade and preschool.

So fun! I realized late last night when I got back from buying all their school supplies, that I didn't plan anything fun for them today. Glad someone is on top of things!
