Kenna LOVES crafts...so we do craft day once a week during the summer. This week it was at our house. We made 4th of July windmills and firecracker rainsticks and ended with yummy ice cream in a bag. The kids loved it! It was MESSY, but that's what they loved.
The recipe for ice cream is sooo easy and fun for the kids
Recipe for ice cream in a bag:
in a small ziploc (I usually double it up so the salt water doesn't get in):
1/2 cup milk or cream (any will do-the higher fat, the creamier it will be)
1 T. sugar
1/4 t. vanilla
In large ziploc bag:
lots of ice
salt (the coarser the salt, the better)
Put small bag into big bag and shake, shake, shake (it takes a while 10ish minutes). Eat up and have fun!
Hope you enjoy!
