It was a busy Tuesday (as usual)...but we still managed to celebrate the most LOVED day of the year....

I love teaching preschool to my boys (I just wish that they loved it as much as me and obeyed me like they would a teacher...but that is another story:)...I love that I get to see those lightbulbs go off everyday with them and their cute little friends.

Don't Tell Kenna...but I detest Gymnastics meets...I get so tense, worked up, and a little competitive (I'm not gonna lie)...I walk out of there a twisted bundle of nerves...and I'm NOT even competing...Luckily Kenna does better with the pressure. This meet was difficult. She is in a higher level where the judges are a bit more harsh on their scoring...and she is still recovering (mentally) from her "broken" arm last season...so though her scores weren't as high as she would of liked (her goal is 9's)...and she scratched on vault-oh there is a story on vault...it's too funny not to tell:)...so Makenna salutes the judges and does her run on vault and stops at the springboard...says it was too close...does her 2nd vault (they get two chances of vault-ONLY)...same thing...runs at the vault and and stops at the springboard, never going over the vault...devastated she walks over to her coach and asks "what is my score". Her cute coach told her not to worry about it...they will talk about it later. Because on every event (except vault), if you make a mistake, it is just a deduction. On vault, you can still have deductions, but if you don't actually go over the vault, it's a scratch or zero. So when her dad told her on the phone that she got a zero, she said that he was wrong...she still got points for running! Oh how I love her optimism and confidence...but a lesson was learned today:)...Still she did Great! She came home with 4 medals and couldn't be happier! And we couldn't be prouder of her perseverance and ability to carry on even after a defeat...Way to go Kenna!
Sorry...that was long...but there you go:)
